Experience UK and Department for International Trade to launch Exporting Regional Roadshows in Creative Industries hotspots

Experience UK, the British trade body which represents UK companies who design, create and deliver world-class visitor experiences, is hitting the road to commence Regional Exporting Roadshows in Creative Industries hotspots throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The fun and engaging events will be hosted in partnership with Experience UK’s principle stakeholder, the Department for International Trade, and have been designed to level up the UK’s Experience Economy exporting potential. Experience UK members and the wider Experience Economy community are set to come together to learn about the opportunities and support available to grow business by expanding their international footprint.
Each event will provide invaluable insights for UK creative companies. Participants will hear from DIT’s Experience Economy team to learn about their global network and market activity, while also connecting with local ITAs who can help companies execute business objectives to support export wins.
There will also be the opportunity to discover more about Experience UK’s position in supporting British companies who are currently or looking to expanding their international footprint. Each Roadshow will also feature an Exporting Champion who will share their own success story to inspire the delegation.
Every Roadshow will provide plenty of time for companies to network with Experience UK, DIT team and fellow Creative Industries in the specific hotspot region. Complementary refreshments will also be provided.
Experience UK and DIT’s next Regional Exporting Roadshow will take place in  Leeds (June 23)

The Roadshow schedule will continue as follows:

•    Leeds - West Yorkshire Roadshow (June 23)
•    Newcastle - North East Roadshow (September 8)
•    Edinburgh – Scotland Roadshow (September 22)
•    Brighton – South Roadshow (October 13)

Richard Parry, Head of Experience Economy for Department for International Trade, said:
“If you or your company is in the business of storytelling, architecture, creative technology, entertainment or design, then this event is something you should not miss. It will be an informal evening offering delegates a change to learn about the DIT’s and Experience UK’s support for the experiential sector and to meet the people behind all the initiatives aimed at helping our creative companies sell internationally.
“COVID 19 has had a huge impact on much of the creative sector and it is clear that, despite a return to something like normal in the second half of 2021, further difficulties lie ahead. But as and when we emerge from the latest wave, there will be exciting international business opportunities for our creative companies – opportunities which we can help you take.”
