Every year, DG HOME and REA co-organise the Projects to Policy Seminar (previously under the title P2PKOS, Project to Policy Kick-Off Seminar) to which all the newly launched projects are invited.

 

The in-person event is structured into thematic breakout sessions, followed by a plenary with several presentations of general interest.

 

On 14 and 15 June, participants meet in groups that are split into the four thematic areas:

1) Fighting crime and terrorism & Infrastructure (FCT/INFRA)

2) Strengthened Security Research and Innovation (SSRI)

3) Disaster-resilient societies (DRS),

4) Border and external security (BES)

 

The aim is to raise awareness among the relevant policy DGs on the new projects that have been launched, as well as to provide guidance to these new projects regarding the policy-related outputs the policy DGs are interested in.

 

On the afternoon of 15 June, a half day plenary session will address communication in security research, exploitation and dissemination issues.
