IES-IRSE Railway Innovation & Sustainability Seminar 2024

Building on the success of last year’s event, the 2024 seminar, organised by the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE), featured leading international speakers from the UK and Malaysia. 

The event offered a unique platform to highlight your cutting-edge innovation and sustainability initiatives. It also provided an exclusive opportunity for your top talent to present their visionary concepts. The expert  panel, a key highlight from last year, returned due to high demand, offering deeper insights and fostering valuable discussions that positioned organisations at the forefront of railway innovation and sustainability.  

Special Preview of Caring Commuter Exhibition

Caring Commuter Week (CCW) is an annual activity that celebrates and fosters a more caring commuting culture on Singapore’s public transport system.  

This year, the highlight of CCW was an exhibition featuring the initiatives that are currently available and the necessary assistance to support various disability profiles (such as persons with vision impairment, hearing impairment, dementia, and autism) in their daily commute. 

Attendees had the opportunity to explore this multi-sensory and interactive exhibition, gaining insights on the value of assisting and being assisted, and appreciating the profound impact of simple acts of kindness. 

The exhibition was officially open to members of the public from 9 to 24 November.
