Northern Powerhouse Trade Mission to Brazil - Powering Net Zero

A part-funded market visit opportunity for Northern Powerhouse businesses in the Energy sector.

Join this trade mission to Brazil for the 9th edition of the UK & Brazil: Partners in Energy event, a platform for British and Brazilian companies to discuss the future of the Energy sector, its challenges and opportunities.

UK & Brazil: Partners in Energy is an annual event that aims to promote and strengthen strategic relationships between the UK and Brazil in the Energy sector.

The conference facilitates exchanges in expertise between British and Brazilian companies as well as institutions and Government agencies. The event offers a platform for new technologies to be presented, and discussions to take place on the latest innovations, promoting the UK’s excellence in the Energy industry.

This three-day programme, exclusively for the Northern Powerhouse delegation, includes the opportunity to:

  • Present your capabilities at the UK & Brazil: Partners in Energy event in Rio de Janeiro
  • Meet with the main contractors and stakeholders in Brazil
  • Participate in the Queen’s Birthday Party Networking Reception

The Department for International Trade (DIT), in partnership with the Energy Industries Council (EIC), invites British companies involved in the Renewable Energy sector to take advantage of this great offer and join us for a guided visit to Brazil.

How to attend

Register your interest today. Eligible companies will be invited to complete their booking and pay a £99 joining fee. The deadline for payment is 18th May 2022.

We will be collecting personal information as part of our registration process. This information will be processed and shared within the Department for International Trade (DIT) and with selected third parties for purposes connected with DIT performing a task in the public interest or to fulfil an official function and the task or function has a clear basis in law.   • Pre-scheduled group meetings with the main stakeholders of the Brazilian Energy sector such as Eletrobras, Shell, Neoenergia and Porto do Açu

Fees

The fee to join this trade mission is £99, exclusively subsidised for Northern Powerhouse companies from the regular £350 fee. This includes three days entry to the UK & Brazil: Partners in Energy conference (including the briefing session, technical workshops, group meeting lunch on 6 and 7 June and networking reception on 7 June) and entry to the Queen's Birthday Party Networking Reception at Belmond Copacabana Palace. Flights, hotels and sustenance outside of lunch and the networking receptions are not included. The subsidised fee of £99 is available to one delegate per company. Additional delegates will be charged the full attendance rate of £350. We reserve the right to decline applications for participation in the trade mission. Companies based outside of the Northern Powerhouse should book directly through Energy Industries Council here.
