Newbattle Abbey College is set in 125 acres of beautiful parkland and ancient woodland, just outside Edinburgh. Our historic 16th century building and peaceful surroundings make Newbattle a unique place to learn and to plan for the future. When the 11th Marquis of Lothian gifted this former Cistercian monastery to the people of Scotland in 1937, he wanted people who had never had an education to benefit.
