Are you thinking of applying for Registered Animal Technologist (RAnTech) status?
If so, we will be offering interviews at Congress. You can complete the application form on the website and let us know that you are attending Congress. We will then arrange an interview panel accordingly.
Full details on eligibility and how to apply can be found on the IAT Website
In order to apply for RAnTech status, applicants must have a minimum of five years animal technology experience, two years of which must be post MIAT or FIAT.
To be MIAT qualified, you must have successfully passed the Membership Examination (pre- 2006) or have taken the IAT QCF Level 3 Diploma in Laboratory Animal Science and Technology, plus an animal handling and sexing module.
For purposes of applying for RAnTech, the two years post MIAT experience will begin from the date of passing the Level 3 qualification, and not from the date of the awarding of MIAT itself.
If you have any queries, please contact the IAT Administrator
