The Future of Food & Farming -

Lancashire Trade Mission to Denmark

Sunday, 12 June 2022-Wednesday, 15 June 2022

About the mission

The Department for International Trade North West invites Lancashire-based companies in the food supply chain, (from farm to fork), to join this trade delegation to Denmark.

The Danish food cluster is the 3rd largest in the world and is ranked among the best in European Food Innovation. This is a great opportunity to develop new relationships, identify new opportunites, share best practice and showcase what is great about Lancashire.

This mission would benefit farmers, food producers/processors and agriculture/agritech companies.

What’s on offer?

The guided in-market programme will be arranged by the British Embassy in Denmark over 2 days and will focus on the Greater Aarhus area. Aarhus is the second largest city in Denmark and the home to the "Silicon Valley of food development and innovation", Agro Food Park.

The programme will be focussed on innovation and sustainable agriculture - supporting the race to the green transition. The proposed agenda will involve visits to food clusters, research institutions, innovation hubs and other relevant organisations.
