UK space mission to Singapore: Global Space Technology Convention (GSTC) - Feb 2023

The Department for International Trade, in collaboration with the UK Space Agency, Science & Technology Facilities Council and British High Commission in Singapore, are planning a UK space sector delegation to Singapore. This will take place in February 2023 to coincide with the Global Space Technology Convention (GSTC) Singapore.

GSTC is one of the key space conferences in the Asia-Pacific region. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with both established and emerging space markets.

This visit will build on recent momentum, following the MOU signed between STFC and SSTL in February 2022 and the recent Singaporean space delegation to the UK in September 2022.

We will be working closely with the Singaporean Government and Singaporean space sector trade body to organise a productive programme.

Our objectives

• Promote the UK space sector to stakeholders in Singapore and the wider Asia-Pacific region 
• Promote the opportunities in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region to UK space companies
• Improve commercial links between the Singaporean and UK space sectors
• Investigate opportunities for bilateral co-operation and collaboration. 

Programme for the week

It is intended that the visit will include:

• Engagement with the GSTC conference, booking a stand with UK companies showcasing their technologies
• B2B meetings
• A workshop hosted by the Science & Technology Facilities Council and Singapore Space Technology Limited
• Visits and tours of local facilities, tailored to the specific interests of those attending.
• A networking reception hosted by the British High Commission in Singapore

Costs

Participants will be expected to cover their own travel and subsistence costs.

There will be support for companies presenting on the UK stand, however the level of support will depend on the number of exhibitors and the scale of stand required.
