Events > Export for Business Growth Workshop - Diaspora Global Festival

The Department of International Trade North East is inviting Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Business Owners to an Export For Business Growth Workshop. The event, taking place at Tuspark in Newcastle between 5pm and 8pm, will give you the opportunity to find out about the support services and funding available to help you to scale and grow your business through international trade.

Ethnic minority entrepreneurs are major contributors to the UK’s economy generating £25bn annually. The Department for International Trade has a track record of successfully supporting businesses. This event marks the launch of our Diaspora Global Festival programme of activities, dedicated to recognising and supporting ethnic minority business owners in order to open up opportunities for scaling up business growth through exporting.

You are welcome to join this ‘Export for Business Growth Workshop’ whether you are:

  • A beginner exporter, and want to find out more about starting your international trade business
  • A more experienced exporter, and want to scale-up or explore more markets worldwide

We aim to help you to succeed!

The workshop will help you to find out about the range of export support services and funding to help you to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence that you need to succeed. You will also be able to ask questions, meet staff and make important contacts both in the UK and abroad to help you to take your business to the next level. You are also welcome to come along to network with like-minded ethnic minority business owners interested in sharing international links.

This event aims to be inclusive and so business owners from all ethnic minority communities in the North East are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
