Invitation
Trafikverket UK Supplier Event

In collaboration with Trafikverket (Sweden’s national rail and road infrastructure manager) and the Railway Industry Association, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) will hold a UK Supplier Event at the RIA Hub in London.

Sweden’s new National Plan for Transportation (2026-37) outlines investments worth SEK 1,171 bn (about £85 bn) during the period across the transport system, including SEK 210 bn for rail maintenance. There will also be a large amount of investment in new build projects and upgrades.

It will be a hybrid event, with some speakers present in the room and some presenting online. The presentations will be followed by a networking lunch.

If you are interested in learning more about the Swedish rail infrastructure sector, then this event will provide a great opportunity to do so.

The following Trafikverket projects have confirmed their participation:

  • The East Link – a new build project involving 160km of track to the south of Stockholm
  • The North Bothnia line - 270 kilometre coastal railway line in northern Sweden
  • Investment division – representing a portfolio of upgrade and new build projects

There will also be an online presentation of Trafikverket’s plans and developments within the digitalisation of rail maintenance – which is likely to be a big theme for the coming years.
