Poster Area
We created a platform where all abstract Posters and Platform Presentations can be seen on demand. The link to the poster area as well as the username and password will be communicated to you in the practical details, which will be sent to all registered participants.
Instructions to upload your poster:
- Login with your email address and password you have created to submit your abstract.
- Go to ‘Submissions’. Click on the blank space in between the buttons and footer if the page does not open. Refresh your page if it still does not work.
- Open the submission of which you would like to publish your poster. Go to ‘Initial Stage’.
- Upload your poster at the question “Please click on the link below to see the abstract poster”.
Guidelines to upload your poster:
- We will use a PDF version of your abstract in case you do not manage to create a poster.
- The size of your poster can be A4 or A3.
- Your file should not exceed the maximum size limit of 50MB.
- Please upload your poster in PDF, PPT, JPG or JPEG format only.
- Please name your file as follow: “Submission ID number_Poster_Name”.
Awards:
The winner of the best abstract Poster will also be asked to pre-record a short presentation (3 minutes) which will be streamed on Friday, December 4th around 15:00, followed by a live Q&A.
The winners will be contacted on December 1. Please note that you can only be selected if you have uploaded your presentation or poster before Friday, November 27.
Platform Presentations:
As the RIMS Conference is now going digital, we would like to give all platform presenters the opportunity to create a poster of their abstract as well. We will use a PDF version of your abstract in case you do not manage to submit a poster.
Abstract Submission
The abstract submission tool is now available. Please use the internet browser "Google Chrome" to upload your abstract.
Possibilities to present your abstract:
- There is poster viewing for all abstracts which have been accepted and assigned to either a "Poster Express" session or a "Poster Viewing" session
- There are express sessions for a selection of accepted abstracts (oral presentation of 1 minute – on stage) – using 1 ppt slide
- There are platform presentations for a selection of accepted abstracts
(oral presentation of 12 minutes incl. 2 min Q&A – on stage) – using PPT slides
Authors that submit an abstract will be asked to indicate their preference to participate in the oral presentations. The reviewers will make a selection of the submitted abstract that qualify for the express sessions or the platform presentation.
Please note:
General Framework for Abstract Submission
- The submission of abstracts is welcome and highly appreciated
- Abstracts should be submitted via the available link on the conference website
- All submitted abstracts that fullfil the submission criteria, will be screened and considered for presentation by reviewers, appointed by the Scientific Committee, which will send a notification regarding acceptance or rejection of abstracts to the submitting author via email
- Accepted abstracts are published in the Multiple Sclerosis Journal after the conference
- There is no cost linked to abstract submission or poster presentation
- Late breaking abstracts will not be accepted
- Abstracts with commercial content will not be accepted
- Posters are centrally displayed close to the plenary room
- Abstract Submission Deadline by Wednesday, February 19, 2020
- Abstract Submission Feedback regarding acceptance/non-acceptance by Tuesday, March 10, 2020
Submission Criteria:
Abstracts should be uploaded via the abstract submission system, which is accessible via the Conference Website. Please use the internet browser "Google Chrome" to upload your abstract.
- All abstracts must be submitted electronically in .doc/docx format and should be written in English
- At the time of submission, the material should not have been published or accepted for publication. Encore abstracts are accepted but not favoured
- The title of the abstract should include all the words crucial for a subject index
- The body of the abstract should be limited to maximum 300 words
- The subject should treat the results of a specific research project
- In addition, there should be a title submitted with a maximum of 45 characters
- All abstracts have to be submitted by the main author
- If the abstract has more than one author, the main author should be clearly identified (fe: label: 'main author:')
- The following basic information of the main author should be included in the abstract itself: institution, city and country (click here to view an example of the lay-out )
- If the abstract has one or more co-authors, the information should be clearly identified in the abstract itself
