UK Mission to GreenTech 2025

The British Embassy in the Hague, Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and Science & Technology Network (STN) are seeking expressions of interest from UK Agri and Horti companies to join our mission to GreenTech 2025 in Amsterdam between the dates of June 9th to June 12th, 2025. GreenTech Amsterdam is the #1 Agri & Horti technology platform in the Netherlands, where industry professionals, governments and academia from around the world come together to connect, network, share knowledge and do business. More than just a trade show... Throughout the three days of GreenTech 2025 participants can participate in a broad programme of talks, presentations, networking sessions and panel discussions focused on the key topics, challenges and innovations in the sector. This is an opportunity to hear from a wide selection of key industry figures across, leading academia and influential government representatives and to meet and network with international peers and experts. Why join the UK mission to GreenTech? This four-day visit includes an invitation to the official GreenTech 2025 pre-event dinner with more than 300 AgriTech and Hortitech experts, complimentary event access to GreenTech 2025, including the trade show and knowledge programme activities. In addition to the extensive GreenTech-led activities throughout the week, the British Embassy Netherlands is coordinating and programme of exclusive UK/NL networking sessions with industry, academia and government, joint networking sessions with Dutch and international delegates and UK delegation site visits to the World Horti Center and Wageningen University’s Bleiswijk Greenhouse Horticulture research hub, home to several Agri/Horti innovation and demo centres. There is no cost or joining fee for UK businesses selected to join the mission. The education mission, which will visit Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Hanoi, is timed to coincide with a Green Finance Skills Conference in Viet Nam. It is open to skills and training providers, universities, professional and chartered bodies, language providers, skills-tech suppliers, and awarding organisations who would like to explore the Vietnamese finance skills market.

The Best Start free breakfast clubs programme supports the government's aims of giving every pupil, regardless of their background, the best start in life. Free breakfast clubs break down barriers to every child achieving and thriving at school and in later life, by ensuring they are ready to learn as well as supporting families with cost of living, and tackling poverty. The first Best Start free breakfast clubs opened their doors in April 2025, with 750 early adopter schools across the country. Our early adopter schools offer pupils a nutritious breakfast and a supportive start to the school day. National roll out of the programme begins in April 2026, with more than 500 additional schools set to benefit from the Best Start free breakfast clubs.

We have now selected UK delegates for this education mission and will report on outcomes in future editions of this newsletter. India has become a country of increasing interest for schools’ partnerships, and we see opportunity for further growth.
