Petrochemicals Europe is the voice of the European petrochemical industry, representing about 70 member companies (including affiliated members) with a turnover of 155 billion Euro, not including the turnover of its customer industries. These are companies manufacturing ethylene and propylene from steam cracking, other olefins, aromatics for chemical use, and first stage petrochemical derivatives and intermediates excluding polymers.
As the voice of the European petrochemical industry, our mission is to:
- Advocate for conditions that will allow the industry to operate successfully in a highly-competitive global environment
- Raise awareness of the contribution of our industry to the European economy which provides essential raw materials for thousands of products produced by diverse industries, driving innovation and creating employment
- Engage continuously with all our stakeholders in the pursuit of sustainable solutions.
Petrochemicals Europe is an industry sector of Cefic, the European Chemical Industry council, and is based in Brussels.
