| David Cardwell David Cardwell is counsel in the Antitrust and Competition Practice of Baker Botts’ Brussels office. David completed his law degree at Edinburgh University and trained at Scottish law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP, including a six-month secondment to Brussels. Upon qualification in 2008, David joined the antitrust team at Hogan & Hartson LLP, latterly Hogan Lovells, and moved to help open the Brussels office of Baker Botts in September 2012. David’s practice focuses on UK and EU competition law, including a particular concentration on EU and international merger control laws, and UK competition law (both mergers and behavioural). He has counseled clients in merger reviews before both the European Commission and national competition authorities, and has spent time on secondment working as senior antitrust counsel with a global oil & gas major in London. | |
| Dina Jubrail Dina Jubrail is an associate in the Competition team at Baker Botts. Dina trained and qualified at British Telecommunications plc. In 2016, she joined the Competition team at Hogan Lovells in Brussels and recently moved to Baker Botts. She completed her Law degree at Oxford University and a postgraduate diploma in EU Competition Law at King’s College, London following qualification. Her practice focuses on all aspects of EU and UK competition law, including mergers and acquisitions, abuse of dominance investigations, EU and UK litigation, State aid and antitrust counseling. She has particular experience in the telecommunications, information technology and maritime industries. She also has an in-depth knowledge of the relationship between competition and regulatory law in the digital sphere, as well as on the intersection between IP and antitrust. | |
