Alison Young, Global Export and Investment Specialist, Connected Places Catapult
Alison is currently a Global Export and Investment Specialist with the Connected Places Catapult, focusing on FDI into the UK around Smart Cities and mobility.
She has spent the last six years living and working in the Middle East, with the Department for International Trade as a trade and investment advisor. Based first in Muscat, Oman, where she spent four years leading on a number of sectors, from Education to Infrastructure, followed by two and a half years in the UAE, based in Dubai, setting up the Technology and Smart Cities sector for DIT, with a core focus on AI and Fintech.
She has lived and worked in over six different countries and has a degree in Russian Studies from the University of Edinburgh.

Sara is a Senior Project Manager at Cleantech Östergötland, a politically independent network where people from business, the public and academia meet to solve society's environmental challenges. She is also responsible for the South-East region of Smart City Sweden. Her work focuses on promoting and increasing the export of Swedish sustainable solutions.

Josh Ponce, Senior Investment Adviser, British Embassy Stockholm
Josh has been with the Department for International Trade at the British Embassy in Stockholm since 2018. His work is primarily focussed on assisting Swedish companies in establishing and expanding their operations in the UK. Josh predominantly works with companies within the Advanced Engineering, Smart City Tech, Renewable Energy and Financial Services sectors.

Erik Fossum Færevaag, Founder and President, Disruptive Technologies
Erik Fossum Færevaag is the Founder and President of Disruptive Technologies, a Norwegian Tech company providing The World’s Smallest Wireless Sensor. The company has received numerous recognised awards such as Gartner Cool Vendor, Nordic Startup Awards, Norwegian Tech Awards and more.
The sensor is the size of a postage stamp with 15 years battery lifetime, unmatched ease-of-use and scalability. Sensor data is delivered on a cloud API, where the complete service, including sensors, are managed. Erik’s background is from the microchip/semiconductor industry, architecting the world’s lowest power microcontroller EFR32 and the world’s lowest energy ISM band digital radios.
