International Nurse Day symposium 12 May 2023
 

The Belgian Hematology Society (BHS), with the support from Sanofi, has the pleasure to announce three grants to support a program for nurses to support their daily work.

 

Nurses involved in hematological care, are invited to submit their projects and apply for the STARR Nurse Award. All information on application rules and prize can be found below.

Project Submission Deadline: Wednesday, 12 April 2023, at midnight CET.

The Awardees will be announced during the BHS International Nurse Day 2023 to be held on 12 May at Hof Ter Musschen.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS STARR NURSE AWARD 2023

Who can apply?

The candidate must fulfil all criteria below:

  • Be a natural person
  • Be a nurse involved in hematological care
  • May not be an employee of the pharmaceutical industry

The projects must meet the following criteria:

  • The project puts the patient first
  • The project is related to improving patient care
  • The project has no commercial objectives
  • The project has no link with a phamaceutical product
  • The project is not a clinical project
  • The hospital does not have its own financial resources
  • The award (prize money) cannot be allocated to fund a salary, but it can cover activity, training and material cost

Application requirements

The application must be made via the online submission tool and must be preferably be written in English, but applications in French and Dutch are highly accepted. 

  • an informative form containing the different project members
  • a detailed project form with a maximum of 3 pages including a budget estimate, a cause, goal & plan of action

Award(s)

The jury will select one or three winning projects that will contribute to supporting the daily work of the nurses. One monetary grant of EUR 15.000 or three monetary grants of respectively EUR 10.000 (1st prize), EUR 3.000 (2nd prize) and EUR 2.000 (3rd prize) will be awarded to the winning project(s). 

This award has been made possible with an unrestricted grant from Sanofi.
