Accelerating a sustainable energy transition in the Nordics and UK - Identifying collaborative strategies, and investments
The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) at the British Embassy Stockholm will host a roundtable discussion on the sustainable energy transition in the Nordics and UK.
The session will feature speakers from the UK's Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and NatWest, who will both provide a comparative view of each country’s progress, challenges, and key strategies for advancing a sustainable energy future.
To encourage dialogue and debate across sectors, the dicussion will focus on:
- Financing the green transition – how to overcome existing hurdles. What needs to be done to be bankable?
- Capital allocation – will capital move away from Sweden? How do we attract the right capital?
- How can we ensure an efficient expansion and innovation of energy supply and secure energy system capable of disruptions and crises?
- Identify collaborative strategies and investments to secure a sustainable energy supply across assets.
