Driving the Green Transition in Life Sciences: Join us for a seminar on sustainability in the Danish healthcare sector
The British Ambassador to Denmark, Joëlle Jenny, along with the Danish Chamber of Commerce and GSK, warmly invites you to an insightful seminar focused on the green transition in the healthcare and life sciences sector.
As things stand, the healthcare sector accounts for approximately 6 percent of Denmark’s national carbon footprint, with a quarter of those emissions directly related to the manufacture and use of pharmaceuticals. For the wellbeing of patients, the environment and global public health, the healthcare sector must keep pace with the green transition and net-zero targets.
The Danish regions are driven to improve sustainable practices, aiming to halve greenhouse emissions from hospital care by 2035 – a target well-aligned with ambitions in the United Kingdom, where the National Health Service (NHS) is taking concrete steps to become the world’s first net-zero health service by 2040, led by its Greener NHS initiative.
Join us for a seminar which will bring key stakeholders together to discuss how the healthcare sector can take strides towards a more sustainable future by adopting innovative practices and leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
