Connecting with Friends, Fellow OB-PS Supporters and Guests
The OB-PS Virtual Event planning committee will be waiting to warmly welcome you 30 minutes prior to the session starting. Using this special event platform, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with friends, both old and new, such as the virtual chat function, video catch-ups, group calls, speed networking, and one on one calls. The Virtual Event Planning Committee and technical support team are here to show you how to make the most of the networking opportunities available. There will be a support function available on the platform, and training videos found at the end of this event pack. With over 250 supporters registered for the event, there will be plenty of people to connect with!

'Climb Any Mountain' Session from the Bergen 2020 Event Committee
The OB-PS Annual Event in Bergen June 2020 was sadly cancelled due to Covid 19. After months of planning from the Bergen team in the lead up to the 2020 event, here is a chance to catch up with some of what you missed; explore the theme Climb any Mountain, hear from Solveig Schutz, former Chief Commissioner of The Guides and Scouts of Norway and Norweigan MP who nominated WAGGGS for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021, make a visit to Bergen for eyes and ears and learn about Guides and Scouts in Norway.

Guiding and Getting to the Top
Tori James, at the age of 25, became the first Welsh woman to climb Mount Everest. Tori is President of Girlguiding in Wales and is passionate about young women reaching their potential.
Tori describes how it takes more than speed, fitness and stamina to survive on the world’s highest mountain. Not only will you gain an insight into life in the 'death zone' but Tori demonstrates that with the right mindset, a deep resilience and a strong team, you can overcome setbacks and achieve more than you ever dreamed.

This GALA event will be like no other you have attended. Each part of the experience will be part of your ‘meal’. Come prepared to enjoy connecting with old friends and new, celebrate the cultural diversity of WAGGGS and be inspired to contribute more to the amazing work of OB-PS impacting girls and young women around the World. This GALA is open to members of OB-PS and those that YOU invite along who are interested in joining and becoming part of this passionate and inspirational Society. Prepare yourself for the GALA by wearing GALA appropriate attire and having GALA type food and beverages ready. We are really looking forward to sharing the motivational work of OB-PS and celebrating with you at the GALA!
