Offshore Wind Delegation from Lithuania to Scotland, March 2023

The UK is recognised as a global leader in the development and deployment of Offshore Wind Projects and Technology and is already home to over 10 GW of installed capacity with a further 5 GW in the pre-construction phase.

Scotland is at the forefront of future developments with the recent ScotWind leasing round, combined with the soon to be awarded INTOG (Innovation and Targeted Oil and Gas Decarbonisation) leasing round set to add a further 30 GW across a mix of fixed and floating projects.

Lithuania and the UK continue to strengthen bilateral links within energy sector and to enhance this even more the Department for International Trade of the British Embassy supported by Aberdeen International Associates (AIA) are organising an Offshore Wind Energy market visit from Lithuania to Scotland in March 2023 that will demonstrate the experience of the UK’s offshore wind industry that can be utilised to support domestic projects.

This market visit will enable Lithuanian delegation to meet with relevant industry bodies, regional government representatives and visit some key infrastructure and facilities in Scotland.

This event is by invitation only.
