Carbon Reduction Award

Navocem Infra Industries Private Limited

Navocem - 100% Clinker Free Cement

Navocem is 100% clinker-free, low-carbon cement, designed to address the major environmental impact of traditional cement production. Unlike Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), which emits around 800 kg of CO₂ per ton due to clinker calcination, Navocem eliminates clinker by using 90–94% recycled industrial waste (GGBFS) and a proprietary activator, reducing emissions by nearly 80%. It matches or exceeds OPC 43-grade performance while being priced at parity. With a kiln-free, modular manufacturing process that lowers capital costs by 50% and speeds deployment, Navocem offers a scalable, circular-economy solution for sustainable construction.

Green Project of the Year

Honeywell Technologies

DG Fuels Louisiana Sustainable Aviation Fuel Project

The DG Fuels Louisiana project represents a step change in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production, enabled by Honeywell Technologies advanced catalyst and process technology. By combining proven Fischer-Tropsch (FT) synthesis with novel system integration, the project is expected to become the largest FT-based SAF facility announced to date. At a planned capacity of around 13,000 barrels per day of SAF blendstock from up to one million tonnes of biomass annually, the project moves beyond pilot and demonstration scale into true industrial deployment. With front end engineering development underway and strong progress towards Final Investment Decision, it demonstrates the level of real-world deployment needed to decarbonise aviation at scale. What makes this innovation different While most SAF today relies on HEFA pathways constrained by limited lipid feedstocks, the DG Fuels Louisiana plant will deliver a scalable alternative based on abundant agricultural and forestry residues.

Central to this is Honeywell Technologies’ FT CANS technology, co-developed with bp, and its advanced catalyst systems, which enable efficient conversion of syngas into high quality synthetic fuels at industrial scale. This is not new chemistry, but a new level of integration, scale and feedstock flexibility that enables industrial deployment.

Archroma

DIRESUL® FiberColors®: Advancing textile circularity with sustainable dyes from wool waste

DIRESUL® FiberColors® represents a landmark in the evolution of sulfur chemistry, a dye class that has underpinned large-scale production of denim and cotton textiles since the 19th century. For the first time, high-performance sulfur dyes can be commercially synthesized using pre-consumer wool waste as a primary feedstock, replacing fossil-derived raw materials.    Building on its patented EarthColors® technology, Archroma developed a method to create high-quality bio-based dyes by chemically converting coarse, non-commercial wool that farmers would normally pay to dispose of via incineration or landfill. This process uses the wool as a key raw material to generate sulfur dyes with dyeing and fastness performance comparable to conventional sulfur dyes, with products ranging from partially to fully bio-based content. The resulting palette of warm nature-inspired colors enables brands and retailers to create complete collections, from casualwear and home textiles to denim, on cellulosic fibers and wool while promoting the shift to circularity.

Blendtek Solutions

SonoMix Ultrasonic Blending: Transforming lubricant manufacturing through low-energy inline mixing

SonoMix applies high-power industrial ultrasound to lubricant blending. Ultrasonic energy creates microscopic implosions within the fluid stream, generating intense localised mixing energy on a molecular level. This promotes rapid dispersion and homogenisation of additives without relying on prolonged recirculation, mechanical agitation or heating. Unlike conventional batch blending, SonoMix operates inline during circulation and can be integrated into existing production processes. The technology enables blending and filling of raw materials simultaneously, significantly reducing blend times while maintaining, and improving product quality and consistency.  The result is a highly efficient mixing process that reduces energy consumption, shortens production cycles and increases utilisation of existing manufacturing assets. The technology has applications across engine oils, industrial oils, hydraulic fluids, transmission fluids, metalworking fluids and other lubricant products.

Tidal Vision

Chitosan Solutions Built from Nature: A New Process Architecture for Water Treatment

Tidal Clear replaces conventional metal-salt and synthetic-polymer coagulants (aluminum, ferric chloride, polyDADMACs) with TideForce®, precision liquid chitosan coagulants for industrial and municipal applications. The science:   Charge neutralization and polymer bridging are inherently more efficient per unit mass than metal-salt precipitation, needing far less chemical input for equal or better clarification.   Chitosan is biologically compatible: it works within typical activated-sludge pH ranges, does not inhibit microbial activity, and breaks down into biodegradable intermediates, mainly glucosamine and oligosaccharides.   The core innovation: swapping biologically antagonistic metal chemistry for a living-system-compatible biopolymer makes the whole treatment train more efficient downstream.   These technologies are already adopted in US markets served by 11 industrial facilities, and expansion into EU has already started with distribution in the Netherlands and personnel on the ground in the UK.
