This year our Annual Meeting 2025 will take place at Campus Biotech in Geneva.

Campus Biotech stands in the Sécheron district of Geneva, taking its place among prestigious institutions (WHO, UN), world-class universities and companies.

Located just outside the city centre, just moments from Lake Geneva, the international airport and the national motorway network.

The campus benefits from excellent public transport links.

Access by public transport:

  • Bus 1, 11 and 25, stop Jardin Botanique
  • Tramway 15, stop Maison de la Paix
  • Train CFF and CEVA, stop Sécheron

Visa for Switzerland

Visas for foreign nationals can be issued by the Swiss representation covering their place of residence. Please be aware that visa procedures usually take a long time. The documents necessary for a successful visa application are different for each country. It can be helpful to hand in supporting documents such as flight tickets, travel insurance prove or a hotel booking confirmation.

This page contains general information on who needs a visa for Switzerland and how you obtain it. Select your country and check, which embassy covers your region and where you need to submit your visa application form.

When applying for a visa for Switzerland, an invitation letter from the conference organization is required. To obtain this, please proceed as follows:

  • Complete your registration, including payment, through the dedicated registration platform
  • Send an email to the esa@beyond-associations.be to request your invitation letter, including the following information:
    • A scan of a valid in-date passport including photo.
    • A short academic CV.
    • The correspondence address for the invitation letter, which must be the address of your workplace.
    • A short letter of support from your organization, stating that they support your participation in the ESA Annual meeting 2025.
    • If you already know your accommodation in Geneva, please send the details for this.
    • IMPORTANT: The full address of the embassy in your country that will process the visa application.

Please keep in mind that an invitation letter can only be requested, once your registration, including payment, has been completed. Kindly start the process in due time, as last-minute requests will not be processed.
