Quantum Trade Delegation to Singapore - 28th to 31st October
The UK and Singapore have a Strategic Partnership encompassing five pillars including research, science, innovation, and technology cooperation;
In February 2022 the UK and Singapore signed the Digital Economy Framework. Subsequently MoUs on Emerging Technologies, and Data cooperation were signed in June 2023.
In May 2024 Singapore launched it's National Quantum Strategy (NQS) which is backed by S$300 million (approx. £171.45 mil) under the Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2025 plan that guides public sector R&D investment.
Singapore’s National Quantum Strategy comprises four strategic thrusts:
(i) Scientific Excellence
(ii) Engineering Capabilities
(iii) Innovation & Enterprise Partnerships
(iv) Talent
The trade delegation that DBT and the British High Commission in Singapore are organising, will coincide with the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH).
The show is Asia’s leading deep tech festival that connects the Global-Asia innovation ecosystem through premier thought leadership, vibrant networking, showcase events, and a start-up pitching competition, SLINGSHOT
