The MS Nurses at the Limits poster exhibition is a great opportunity to showcase examples of your research and practice in MS care. So, if you have a project you’re proud of, this is a great chance to share it.
Posters will be on display throughout the conference, and there’s dedicated time in the programme for you to chat with delegates and answer their questions.
Remember that MS Nurses at the Limits is all about the innovations that will make a real difference to people living with MS in the future, so your poster can reflect how your work is helping shape the clinic of tomorrow.

2. Application and submitting your form
The first step is to fill in a short application form (download HERE), enabling you to summarise your poster.).
The written abstract section should (strictly) be no more than 250 words or include any graphs or pictures and should give a summary of the poster.
You should show the core aims, design and methods of the research, audit or service improvement project you’ve carried out.
Here’s a suggested structure, but feel free to use your own.
Context
Background, significance and/or rationale
Hypothesis, objective or statement
The aim of the research
Questions you were seeking to address (what’s the challenge?)
Design & Methods
Experimental methods or methodology
Population/group(s) studied
Your measurement techniques
Results
Show the primary findings or results of your research
Conclusion
What’s the impact of results
…and how did it compare to your original hypothesis, objective or statement?

Please note that you’ll need to register to attend the conference if your poster is accepted and you’d like to display it on site at the Royal College. Travel and accommodation allowances are available – you’ll find the details when you register HERE
3. Preparing your poster
The maximum poster size is A0 portrait (84cm wide x 119cm high); we won’t be able to display anything larger. If you can get it professionally printed that would be great (High Street print shops can do this if you have no facilities of your own available).
Things to consider:
Title
A short title should sum up what your poster is about.
Content
Try to reflect the ‘at the limits’ theme of the conference where you can.
Include enough detail for the audience to understand the context, but keep it focused on the main points you want to get across.
You can always cover further details in handouts or when answering questions in-person.
Structure
A clear, easy-to-follow structure will help your audience understand the information.
Here’s a format that may help:
Context
Set out the problem and why it matters – a few references here can help put it in context.
Hypothesis, objective or statement
Tell us the goal(s) of your research and the question(s) you were trying to answer.
Design & method
If it’s relevant, outline the study design, procedures and study population, along with the measurement techniques used and how you analysed the data.
Results
Share your findings.
Discussion
Then look at your findings in light of your original hypothesis, objective or statement, reflect on the original aims and flag any areas for improvement or follow-up, and note any wider implications.
Conclusion
Sum up what your results mean and the impact they have.
Important:
Use clear, plain English
Make sure the text is big enough to read from 1m away
Where you can, turn data into clearly labelled graphs – they’re much easier to take in at a glance

The named HCP author must review and approve the final content before submission
The author remains the author of record, regardless of who prepares or submits on their behalf
Sponsorship of the content must be prominently disclosed
Submitting on behalf of an author
Sponsors and agencies may submit on behalf of an HCP author. This is accepted practice and fully permitted, in line with GPCAP (Good Practice for Conference Abstracts and Presentations)...
…but, two conditions apply:
The named author reviews and approves the final content
The named author remains author of record
