Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands, located in the western Caribbean Sea, lie south of Cuba and northwest of Jamaica and comprise three islands: Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. Renowned for their clear turquoise waters, white-sand beaches and vibrant marine life, the islands offer a distinctive blend of natural beauty and refined island living. The landscape ranges from coral reefs and tranquil lagoons to lush inland areas and coastal towns. With a warm tropical climate throughout the year, the Cayman Islands provide an inviting setting for outdoor activities, including water sports, diving, boating and coastal exploration.

Currency: The Cayman Islands use the Cayman Islands Dollar (KYD). United States Dollars (USD) are also widely accepted across the islands, with change typically given in KYD.

Time Zone: The Cayman Islands operate on Eastern Standard Time (EST, UTC−5) year-round and do not observe daylight saving time.

Power Outlets: The islands use North American-style plug sockets (Types A and B), with a standard voltage of 120 V and a frequency of 60 Hz. Visitors from regions using different plug types or voltages should bring appropriate adapters or converters.

Transportation: Grand Cayman is easy to navigate, with transport options including public buses, taxis and car hire. The island’s compact size makes getting around straightforward for visitors.

Global Connectivity: Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) in Grand Cayman offers direct flights to and from major cities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and other regional hubs, ensuring convenient international access.
