Welcome to Stockholm

For the fourth time, IUMI is returning to the city of Stockholm. Sweden is a strong trade and shipping nation, highly engaged in matters of marine insurance. The capital of Stockholm is an unique city built on fourteen islands with the surrounding water being clean enough to swim and fish in the very heart of the city. At the same time, the waterfront is thriving with boats and ferries that can take you to one of the 30.000 islands in Stockholm’s prominent archipelago. If you stay on shore, wonderful castles, museums, restaurants and shops awaits. Stroll in the charming old city with a history that dates back to the 13th century or experience the modern architecture and galleries. Meetings will be organized at STOCC, an unique and modern venue in the city centre of Stockholm.

The whole premises is also environmentally certified by Svanen - in order to contribute to sustainable meetings and events.

Vasa Museum

Stockholm’s iconic Vasa Ship was built as a symbol of Swedish power at sea in the 17th Century. The Vasa Museum has been placed top ten of the best museums on the planet. We want you to embrace the presence of history, therefore we are excited to host the welcome reception at this significant site. When the last visitors leave, the museum will be transformed to a unique meeting venue exclusively for IUMIinvitees.

Stockholm City Hall

The Swedish evening will take place in one of the most famous silhouettes in Stockholm – The City Hall. We will dine in the magnificent Blue Hall, right where the famous Nobel banquet is held. After dinner, festivities will continue in the Golden Hall with its 18 million gold mosaic tiles. Dancing in the very same room as Nobel Prize laureates and royalty from all over the world.
