Jenny Mooney is an International Trade Adviser at the Department for International Trade, leading on the Technology sector across the North West and supporting companies across the region. Jenny enjoys the diverse nature of the role which includes helping companies map out their export plans, identifying key export opportunities, events and updates across the sector and helping companies develop their international footprint.
Jenny has spent four years working in the North West team and prior to this 3 years in the London Creative & Media team, she has led trade missions to China Joy, Mipcom, Social Media Week New York and Los Angeles Tech Innovation Forum.
Ms Asha-Maria Sharma
Germany Trade & Investment
Asha-Maria Sharma is working as a Deputy Director in Investor Consulting Digital & Service Industries at Germany Trade & Invest, the foreign trade and inward investment agency of the Federal Republic of Germany. The organization promotes Germany as a business and technology location, supports companies based in Germany with global market information, and advises international companies interested in establishing business operations in Germany.
Asha-Maria has amassed years of economic development experience, having previously worked for two of the German federal states before joining Germany Trade and Invest. After a three-year period successfully managing the agency’s investor consulting office in India, Asha-Maria returned to the GTAI HQ some years ago.
She is now part of the team Digital & Service Industries and takes care of digitization issues (AI, IoT, Quantum Computing) and related topics within GTAI. As the Industry 4.0 expert with GTAI she coordinates all activities around Industry 4.0 and regularly gives presentations on the topic. She has a reliable network within industry and scientific institutions
Jane Kirz
Tech Sector Adviser - Department for International Trade, Germany
Jane Kirz has worked for the Department of International Trade Tech team for 5 years. Based at the British Consulate-General in Munich, she helps disruptive UK Tech companies involved in AI, Big data, Quantum, Cyber security and Safety Tech export their solutions to the German market. She also advises companies on the EU–UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
