TechNet Europe, as per annual tradition, is an international event organised by AFCEA Europe, in cooperation with a local chapter, which takes place every autumn, in a European capital city. The conference and exhibition is regularly held under the patronage of the host country's Minister of Defence. The goal of TechNet Europe is to bring together European and US professionals in order to discuss IT-related subjects of relevance to defence, intelligence, and security of the European geographical area. Also, the newest conceptual and policy information from NATO and the EU was presented. Traditional topics include Cybersecurity, C4ISR, 5G, Cloud Technology, Data Analytics, Quantum Computing, Edge Computing, HPC, Zero Trust and many more. TechNet Europe 2022 held in Prague brought together representatives from NATO and EU institutions and agencies, the Czech MoD, and many national governments and industry from 33 countries under the subject of Artificial Intelligence in military operations.
TechNet Europe 2023, with the main theme of "The New Face of War? Refresh the Approach to the Digitalisation of our Armed Forces!", was held on 3 – 4 October 2023 at the Queen Elizabeth II Congress Centre and was again a unique two-day conference and exhibition fostering in-person networking opportunities through our exhibition, networking breaks, as well as at the black-tie dinner on 3 October. This event featured high-level speakers and specialists from the UK and other national governments, national and international defence and security bodies such as NATO, industry, and academia.
