A vision for a sustainable future and related business opportunities – check out London!

The Venture Capital Matchmaking (VCM) team recently hosted a remarkable event in Copenhagen as part of the Nordic - Baltic Growing Green Together campaign.

This event brought together start-ups, scale-ups and venture capital companies from across the region to discuss clean growth opportunities in the UK. During the event, VCM facilitated a session with a selection of UK regions, including Scotland and the Northern Powerhouse.

VCM launches tailor-made matchmaking sessions

Last year DIT Europe launched its version of the Tech Rocketship Awards (TRA). The event received entries from every corner of the continent in a bid to identify the brightest and best tech start-ups and help them to expand from a UK base.

Funding for underestimated founders

Inclusion in funding is abysmal. When looking at the statistics Crunchbase puts the figure at approximately 3% for women receiving VC funding and the Harvard Business Review finds that less than 1% goes to Black founders. Worse, these effects are compounded for Black women, who receive only 0.0006%.
