Tunisia is in North Africa on the Mediterranean coast. There is great variety in geography and climate. An extension of the Atlas Mountains, the Dorsal, Sahara and 1148 kilometres of coastline. This made of Tunisia the home to many civilizations for over the course of 3,000 years.

Tunisia offers an incredibly diverse range of experiences, from the sandy beaches to rolling dunes of the Sahara and the most intriguing historical sites.

Tunisian Dinar (TND) is the local currency.

Climate

Northern Tunisia has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. The further south you go, the climate gets more arid; and in the southern desert, it is hot, dry and sunny all year round. Rainfall is almost non-existent, though winter nights in the desert can get chilly.

During September, the average daily temperature in Hammamet is 29°C (84°F) and this can reach highs of 36°C and lows of 22°C.
