Annual RIMS Conference: 4-6 June 2020, Leuven (BE)

After careful consideration, the RIMS Board made a joint decision to postpone the RIMS Annual Meeting, originally scheduled for June 4-6, to the end of the year.

We appreciate the large number of submitted abstracts, which clearly indicates the interest of the rehabilitation community and the importance of the RIMS event. But the outbreak of the corona virus and the current developments made us decide not to organize the face to face meeting in June.

However, rest assured that the Board remains focused on delivering what is an important event for the community! We will keep up the good standards in organizing networking opportunities and educational events, as we do want to stay on top to enhance activity and participation for all people with MS whenever and wherever they need it!

And we would like to encourage you too to continue the good work, despite the crisis we are facing globally. Let us know where RIMS could be of any help, we are here for you.

Also in 2020, RIMS will continue to stimulate networking and provide opportunities for rehabilitation practitioners to interact, learn and share experiences with each other. We thus look forward to meeting you at the Annual Meeting at the end of the year! Sign up for the event using this link. Registration at early bird fee is possible until June 4.

We will get back to you as soon as we have more details, but recommend monitoring the official Symposium website, as the latest updates are published there.

We thank you for your loyalty and commitment to RIMS!

Dear colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the next Annual RIMS Conference will take place from Thursday June 4 to Saturday June 6, 2020 in Leuven, Belgium. The Conference is organised in partnership with KU Leuven and the National MS Center Melsbroek.
The  RIMS Conference is the main European event for healthcare professionals, researchers and patient representatives to share their knowledge and experiences and to collaborate on topics related to rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis.
In 2020, the conference main theme will be 'Collaborate and Engage in Personalised Rehabilitation' and focuses on the following 4 areas: Emerging Rehabilitation Research Methodologies, Optimizing Engagement, Translating Knowledge into Practice and Creating Synergies to Optimize Practice & Research.

As in previous years, the Conference programme (Friday-Saturday in Leuven) will be preceded by Teaching Courses, Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings and a PhD session . These will be held on Thursday, June 4 in the National MS Center Melsbroek.

We look forward to welcome rehabilitation physicians and neurologists, nurses and therapists (e.g. exercise physiologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, social workers, speech and language therapists) and all professionals involved or interested in MS rehabilitation research and practice.
