About DIT

AMPLYFI

Founded in 2015, AMPLYFI has developed an advanced Machine Learning-based software platform capable of intelligently harvesting open source data from the internet and then curating, analysing, and visualising vast document corpora. The platform, DataVoyant™, has been positioned to be a game-changer in the sphere of business intelligence and professional services, informing organisations of global market trends, technology advances and emerging business disrupters to maintain their competitive advantage. It is a deep learning powered bridge between data scientists and business intelligence teams.

 

AVID

AVID was established in 2008 as a spin out of the Comesys Europe’s Research and Development business. As a leader in the field of systems electrification and heavy-duty vehicle electrification and hybridisation, the core competency is in the design, validation, and manufacture of high integrity electronics and electric motors. As of 2018, AVID started a R&D project with Jaguar Land Rover to help design components for the powertrains of JLR’s upcoming electrified vehicles, and also a project with Caterpillar to develop a new battery storage system for electric machinery.

 

AppyParking

AppyParking is a company providing parking apps and services for drivers. It was founded in London in 2013 by Dan Hubert. Its product is software that shows on-street and off-street parking options in major cities in the UK. It has a free consumer app that runs on both Android and iOS, and also a paid-for enterprise app, AppyParking Pro, which is a software as a service aimed at businesses with fleets. In addition to ordinary parking, AppyParking shows disabled bays, electric car charge points, motorbike bays and the nearest petrol stations.

 

EXEROS Technologies

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in London, EXEROS Technologies designs, builds and installs intelligent CCTV systems for commercial fleets, focusing on gathering HD video alongside accurate telematics data to improve overall fleet safety and drastically reduce operating costs. Advanced hardware includes ADAS technology, 360-degree cameras and proximity sensors with driver aided audio/visual alerts.

 

GDS

Global Design Solutions (GDS) design and manufacture perfect LED lighting and control products to the automotive, architectural and entertainment industries. At the helm of innovative LED manufacturing in the UK since 2004, GDS pioneer new technologies and supply both product and services to landmark venues and high-profile architectural spaces worldwide. Now specialising in LED colour matching technology, GDS engineer and manufacture modular high output lighting systems for the automotive industry, guaranteeing perfect quality light for controlled R&D environments. The GDS Group has offices in both the UK and Korea and export to 40 countries, with over 50 highly skilled employees, specialising in product design, engineering, lighting design and manufacturing.

 

Gordon Murray Design

Gordon Murray Design has built a global reputation as one of the ‘finest automotive design teams in the World’ and was established in 2007 to develop an innovative and disruptive manufacturing technology, trademarked iStream®. The Company aims to be the world leader in automotive design and reverses the current industry trend for sub-contracting by having a complete in-house capability for design, prototyping and development. It delivers complete car programmes in a highly efficient and innovative way from concept, design, prototype and development through to production ready product.

 

London EV Company Limited

LEVC, (London EV Company), the makers of the Iconic ‘Black Cab’ currently manufacture the world’s only purpose built, range-extended electric taxi, serving both traditional taxi markets as well as new mobility solution providers across a pan-European reach, with a European support network to match. With backing from parent Group Geely Automotive, LEVC are set to develop a suite of electric commercial vehicles for worldwide markets as part of an ambitious global expansion plan, starting with a light commercial van, due to launch in 2020.

 

McLaren

Founded 1991 as McLaren Composites, McLaren Applied Technologies works at the intersection of technology and data to deliver quantifiable performance advantage to four key sectors undergoing large-scale disruptive change; Motorsport, Automotive, Public Transport and Health. Drawing on a 30-year heritage leading the digital transformation of motorsport through electronics and data systems, McLaren develops transformative
products and solutions that harness on their expertise in electronic systems, electric drive, telemetry, software, sensor technology, simulation, predictive analytics, and design.

 

Oxbotica

Oxbotica was founded in 2014 by Oxford professors Paul Newman and Ingmar Posner. Since then, Oxbotica has grown from a start-up through to one of the world’s leading autonomous driving software companies. Oxbotica builds software for real-world application, drawing on principles of physics, robotics, maths, and AI. Their full suite of Universal Autonomy software is fully modular, has low compute power requirements and uses best in class laser vision and radar for localisation and perception for redundancy and safety purposes.

 

Reflexallen

Reflexallen Group is an automotive Tier 1 supplier; a global player that offers a wide range of safety-critical components. A leading and innovative worldwide recognized Group which since its origins considers quality, innovation and continuous improvements as the pillars of its mission. The group, established in 1988 in Modena (Italy) offers a products' portfolio organized in 5 different divisions: Pneumatic, Electrical, Fluid Power, Safety Devices and Special Composites.

 

Swifty Scooters
