Medilink UK - UK Pavilion

 

The Northern Powerhouse exhibition stand and other associated activity is located within the Medilink UK Pavilion in Hall 17. Medilink UK is the largest association of Life Sciences and Healthcare business in the UK.  Via 8 regional offices, Medilink UK provides access to world renowned services in product innovation, market access, communications and internationalisation.  For more information on the work offered by Medilink UK please visit the MLUK site here

Association of British Healthtech Industries (ABHI) UK Pavilion

 

DIT will be located in the ABHI UK’s Pavilion which will be one of the largest and most visible Pavilions of health technology companies at MEDICA 2019. ABHI is the UK’s leading industry association for health technology and supports the HealthTech community to provide products and services that help people live healthier lives. Northern Powerhouse (NPH) Trade Mission to Medica

 

The Department for International Trade (DIT) invites healthcare and life sciences businesses from across the Northern Powerhouse region to join this trade mission to the leading international trade fair for the sector.

Medica will offer businesses a platform to showcase Northern expertise, network with key industry professionals and connect with overseas buyers.

Annually the UK life sciences sector exports more than £30 billion with Northern companies making major contributions to this. The Northern Powerhouse is home to many innovative and ground-breaking companies and a globally recognised manufacturing centre for medical equipment

GAMBICA British Pavilion 

 

GAMBICA is the Trade Association for Instrumentation, Control, Automation and Laboratory Technology in the UK.  Please visit their website here to find out more about their work and support available to their members.

GAMBICA (and formerly BLWA) has organised the British pavilion in the Laboratory Technology & Diagnostics sector since 1992 and will be returning’ to an excellent location in the newly re-built Hall One at Medica 2019.  Full details of the opportunities to exhibit on the GAMBICA British Pavilion can be found here. GAMBICA have grants available to eligible companies via the DIT Tradeshow Access Programme.

Northern Ireland Life and Health Sciences


Invest Northern Ireland is delighted to be hosting a Northern Ireland stand at Medica 2019.


Northern Ireland has a thriving life and health sciences sector offering expertise across a range of specialisms, including precision medicine, clinical trials and digital health. Northern Ireland also has clinical specialisms within the areas of oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology, respiratory and diabetes.

The region has a strong tradition of technological innovation in the medical devices sector and today researchers are at the forefront of convergent technologies, merging electronics, telecommunications and the internet with medical devices for personal healthcare. Global companies in this sector include Armstrong Medical, Bemis Healthcare, Randox and Stryker. The region is home to internationally recognised universities, Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University. Queen’s is a member of the Russell Group of the UK’s leading research intensive universities and Ulster University is one of the top 5 universities in the UK for world-leading research in biomedical sciences.
