OBOR Inclusive and Sustainable City Exhibition and Dialogue

We are pleased to announce that UNIDO is launching the “One-Belt-One-Road Inclusive and Sustainable City Service Network”, which will be open for signature to all representatives from cities, chambers of commerce and academic institutions at the “One-Belt-One-Road Inclusive and Sustainable City Exhibition and Dialogue” from 17 to 21 October. Those interested are invited to sign the focal point agreement form at the “South-South Cooperation Focal Point” booth in the rotunda of the Vienna International Centre or on the event website (www.unido.org/obor-reg). The document will be open for signature throughout the entirety of the event, and all signatories will be recognized in a presentation ceremony on 21 October 2016.

This network aims to provide the following services:

1) To help technical cooperation projects meet the demands and challenges of urban-industrial development;

2)       To facilitate city-level and sector-specific matchmaking;

3)       To advance capacity-building and trade and investment promotion;

4)       To share southern solutions for integrated urban-industrial development;

5)       To promote urban-industrial innovation through knowledge transfer;

6)       To encourage dialogue for city-to-city, city-to-business and business-to-business cooperation.

The “One-Belt-One-Road Inclusive and Sustainable City Service Network” is a mutually beneficial service open to all signatories on a voluntary basis. Please note that this agreement is non-binding in nature and that all services can be availed without any financial obligation to either party.
