Department for International Trade Cyber Security Mission, Texas 2019

The UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) invites UK cyber security companies to register interest in participating in a trade mission to Texas this December.

DIT have established relationships with a variety of large businesses headquartered in the Austin region of Texas to identify export opportunities for British businesses. We aim to deliver a delegation of 10-15 UK cyber companies to engage in commercial discussions with organisations such as the US Military's Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), Dell Computers, SparkCognition, National Instruments and St David's Healthcare (among others), with the final targets to be confirmed shortly. Cyber security is a consistent procurement priority for these organisations and they rightly see the UK as a market offering world-leading cyber security solutions.

The mission will take place on 10th and 11th of December in Austin, requiring travel to the event on Monday 9th December. The format of the mission will be 1-2-1 meetings between UK and US companies across two days taking place at various sites in the city. This will allow UK businesses to develop an understanding of the US buyers organisations and their respective needs and will give you a platform to pitch your products, answer questions and build a relationship with key decision makers.

You will also have an opportunity to learn from UK companies already operating in the US, and engage with DIT teams based in the United States who can assist as you continue to pursue business across the region.

Eligibility:

All UK based cyber security companies are eligible to apply for this mission, however priority will be given to businesses which are most likely to meet the needs of the US organisations and win business in the short to medium term. DIT reserves the right to determine the final delegation.

How to participate
