Ethnic Minority Business Mission to the USA 2024The UK government recognises the importance of equal access to opportunities for businesses and is committed to addressing the barriers faced by Black, Asian and other ethnic minority business owners. Midlands-based ethnic minority owned or led businesses with credible export experience are invited to join this mission to Philadelphia, during The World Trade Center’s Bringing the World to PA 2024 tour: Held in partnership with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) Midlands, MSDUK, The Eastern Minority Supplier Council (EMSDC), the British-American Business Council and The World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia. The U.S. federal government requires any contractor whose contract for goods and services is expected to exceed $700,000 ($1.5 million for construction) to set and meet aggressive goals of subcontracting spend with diverse suppliers.
