TaPRA 2023 will take place in several buildings across the University of Leeds Campus.
Getting to the University of Leeds
Air
The City of Leeds is served by two major airports: Leeds Bradford and Manchester. Regular flights are available from a large number of European and International cities. Leeds Bradford airport is approximately 8 miles from the University and taxis cost in the region of £20. Manchester airport is 59 miles from the University and has excellent train and motorway links to Leeds. Although Leeds and Manchester are the most convenient airports, there are trains from London Kings Cross to Leeds.
Train
Leeds station connects us with all major UK cities and has a fast and efficient London service. The principal station that runs trains to Leeds is London Kings Cross (2.5 hours). For train information and timetables visit National Rail Enquiries. From the station you may wish to either take a taxi to the University or walk.

Leeds Bus and Coach station is a 25 minute walk from the University. Buses take c.15 minutes
Taxi
Taxis from Leeds Bradford Airport cost from £20 – £25. Taxis from Leeds Train Station cost £5 – £7. When travelling in Leeds please ensure you take licensed taxis. Uber Taxis are also licensed and operate in the city. Please ask to be dropped off at the Parkinson Building on Woodhouse Lane.
Walk
The walk from Leeds Train Station to the University takes approximately 25 minutes. Please note, the walking route is uphill and may be difficult if you are travelling with luggage.
Car Parking
Car parking is available at the University of Leeds Orange Zone car park on a first come first served basis. Car parking must be pre-booked and costs £7 per day. Please email confadmin@leeds.ac.uk with your requested length of stay and car registration details. Payment is made by card at the pay machines each time you leave the car park. It is a 10 minute walk from the car park to several of the buildings used for TapRA. If you have an accessibility requirement and need to park closer to the venue please email confadmin@leeds.ac.uk.

The Refectory
Located on the University precinct next to the Student Union, The Refectory is the venue for tea/coffee breaks, the exhibition, lunch and conference dinners. If you have booked accommodation on campus it is also where breakfast will be served.
Student Union
The Leeds University Union has a Co-op, several takeaway options and bars that also serve food.
Coffee Shops
The University of Leeds has several coffee shops on campus. During the conference these cafes are open 08:30 - 15:30. A list is available here.
