Grant Holders Meeting Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education 2024

About

Welcome to Grant Holders Meeting Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education 2024, 6-7 February 2024, Online event.

The annual meeting for Grant Holders focusing on Capacity Building in higher education is held at the conclusion of the contractual period. The activities and outcomes of Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects are aimed at benefiting eligible third countries not associated with the program, along with their higher education institutions and systems. This meeting serves as guidance for the implementation phase of these projects, addressing contractual and financial requirements to ensure compliance with grant regulations and familiarizing participants with the relevant procedures.

The initiative has a global reach, encompassing regions such as the Western Balkans, Eastern Partnership countries, South Mediterranean countries, Asia, Central Asia, Latin America and Caribbean countries, and Sub-Saharan Africa. The action is expected to contribute to the European Commission's overarching priorities, including environmental sustainability, inclusion and diversity, digital transformation, civic engagement and participation, growth, and jobs.

This year’s edition will span over two consecutive days, featuring online sessions followed by bilateral discussions between the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) Project Officers and project representatives, starting from February 7.

The event has three main objectives:

  1. Providing coordinators and partners with the political background and context related to the overarching priorities that project results should contribute to.

  2. Addressing practical issues, such as grant management (rules and reporting requirements) and the life cycle of projects.

  3. Creating opportunities for both new and experienced practitioners to exchange knowledge with other projects in similar subject areas or partner countries within the same region. Additionally, the event serves as a platform to meet representatives from the European Commission, European Union Delegations (EUD), National Erasmus Offices (NEOs), National Agencies (NA), and Erasmus+ National Focal Points (ENFPs).
