Mitigation & Sectoral Transition

This theme captures the UK’s ambition to drive decarbonisation across sectors, and provide a strategic lens to explore policy innovation and international collaboration.

The UK has played a leading role in driving ambitious mitigation outcomes in recent years, including the announcement of the UK's updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) at COP29, to reduce emissions by at least 81% by 2035, and through initiatives such as the Breakthrough Agenda. At the UK's Pavilion, this theme will showcase the UK’s commitment to delivering tangible progress on emissions reductions and supporting global implementation of climate goals.

Finance

We must continue to scale up finance and begin to build a pathway to deliver on the new finance goal. Throughout the UK's Pavilion programme, we will continue to demonstrate our commitment to public climate finance and will work alongside our partners to drive progress; reflecting the UK's role in this area, and securing London’s position as the green finance capital of the world.

Climate Resilience

In a world buffeted by increasingly severe climate impacts it is vital that we make progress in building global resilience.

This theme will address the growing imperative to adapt to climate impacts and build resilience globally, and how the UK is working with global partners to do so.

Forests

We must intensify efforts to deliver our commitments to halt and reverse forest loss by 2030 and to protect nature. Forests like the Amazon and Congo Basin are essential for a livable climate and global resilience.

This theme enables the UK to spotlight work on forest partnerships, and support engagement with Brazil and other forest nations, reinforcing the UK’s commitment to protecting critical ecosystems and advancing action for global forests.

Energy

We must continue to push to accelerate the transition to clean energy globally. Energy remains central to the UK’s international climate agenda.

This theme highlights the UK’s strategic focus on accelerating the clean energy transition and supporting global energy access. It reinforces the UK’s position as a clean energy superpower and provides a space to share policy leadership, technical expertise, and international cooperation efforts.

Innovation & Tech

Delivering the scale and pace the clean transition needs requires accelerated innovation in multiple sectors. This theme enables the UK to showcase its leadership in green innovation and technology, and its commitment to fostering scalable, inclusive innovation that supports clean energy transitions and global climate resilience.

Land & Oceans

This theme underscores the UK’s commitment to integrated climate and nature action, highlighting efforts to align biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience.

It showcases leadership in advancing inclusive, community-driven approaches and innovative finance mechanisms that support both environmental and social outcomes.

The focus also reinforces collaboration with international partners, including Brazil, and supports the UK’s broader narrative on nature-based solutions and climate justice.
