This presentation will cover the Christie's innovative networked approach to delivering cancer care across GM, alongside the provision of dedicated cancer education and training.
An integral part of The Christie's oncology system leadership role is the provision of acute oncology services for the Greater Manchester population of 3.2 million people. The Christie has developed a networked model for delivery in a number of services, for example. systemic anti-cancer treatment (SACT) and radiotherapy, supporting care closer to people's homes. The Christie also provides oncology education and training delivered by its Institute for Cancer Education to the NHS and internationally.
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is a comprehensive cancer centre based in Manchester, UK. It provides system leadership across Greater Manchester (GM) and beyond for world-leading cancer care, education, and research, working across a network of NHS hospitals.
