Project Information
A number of projects will be presented at the event, including:
Kumasi International Airport - Phase II & III
Development and construction of the Kumasi International Airport, comprising on the Landside:
- A terminal capable of handling 800,000 passengers with level of comfort C (IATA ADRM 10, optimum level)
- Segregation of international and domestic arrivals and departures
- Two passenger boarding bridges
- Lounges and VVIP areas with adequate comfort for users
- 500sqm of Retail Space
And comprising on the Airside:
- A fully certifiable code 4D aerodrome
- An apron capable of handling 2 B737-800 simultaneously
- A runway of 2,320 meters
- A runway strip adjusted as per ICAO regulations

Redevelopment and construction of the Kumasi Central Market Phase II, with a total construction area of 172,197 m2 divided in 4 levels:
- Level 1 and 2 will contain stores, counters, washroom and eating areas
- The ground level will contain the car parking as well stores, counters and other social and administrative areas
- Level -1 (below ground level) will contain a car parking and stores
With a total of 6,500 leasable commercial spaces:
- 5,400 closed stores
- 800 kiosks
- 50 restaurants
- 210 fishmongers and butcher stores
- 40 livestock stores
- 1,800 m2 of community facilities

Modernisation of KATH Maternity and associated building:
- Conduct in situ tests to analyse the existing structural conditions of the facility
- Demolish of non-structural walls to match with the proposed project concept
- Withdraw the roof panels
- Build new wall partitions to meet new concept idea
- Install MEP infrastructures in the building
- Install oxygen gas system in the maternity
- Install centralised air condition system (pre-determined areas)
- Install ventilation / exhausting system (pre-determined areas)
- Install ventilated façade system with thermal insulation inside and outside
- Supply and install medical and non-medical equipment
- Post-construction operations - 3 years post-maintenance program for medical equipment with training and technical assistance and a three years post warranty period for equipment
Kumasi Inner Roads - Phase I*
Rehabilitation and auxiliary infrastructure of Kumasi Inner Roads and adjacent streets with the total of 100km located in the communities:
- Manhyia
- Tafo/Pankrono
- Suame
- Bantama
- Kwadaso
- Nhyiaeso
- Asokwa
- Oforikrom
- Subin
