Dr. A.W.J. van Pelt, EPA Pro (NL) Dr. A.W.J. van Pelt, EPA Prosthodontist en Restauratief tandarts Hans van Pelt studeerde in 1978 af als tandarts aan de Rijksuniversiteit van Groningen. Hierna was hij tot 1985 full-time verbonden aan de afdeling Prothetische Tandheelkunde. Daarna startte hij een algemene (groeps)praktijk in 1984 en werkte daar tot 1999. Van 1991 - 2011 was hij verbonden aan het Martiniziekenhuis in Groningen voor de prothetische en restauratieve behandelingen in samenwerking met de afdeling Mond-Kaak en Aangezichtschirurgie. In 2004 heeft hij er een Afdeling Bijzondere en Restauratieve Tandheelkunde opgezet dat in 2011 is overgegaan in een CBT. Sinds 2000 is hij weer verbonden aan het Centrum Tandheelkunde en Mondzorg van het Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen, Sectie Orale Functie. Belast met onderwijs in "Fixed Prosthodontics”. Zijn huidige werkzaamheden verdeelt hij over het UMCG en (sinds juli 2011) een Verwijspraktijk voor Prothetiek, Restauratieve Tandheelkunde en Orthodontie (PRO in Rotterdam) in samenwerking met de Klinieken voor PARO en ENDO. In december 2010 is hij door de EPA erkend als Prosthodontist. Sinds 1986 is hij actief als docent in het Post Academisch Onderwijs in Nederland en België samen met Hein de Kloet en schrijft met regelmaat artikelen over adhesieve en prothetische onderwerpen. Sinds 2013 is hij hoofdredacteur van Tandartspraktijk. |

Drs. Erik-Jan Muts (NL) Erik-Jan Muts voltooide in 2013 zijn studie tandheelkunde aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen en is sindsdien werkzaam bij MP3 Tandartsen te Apeldoorn. Hij specialiseert zich met name in de esthetische en reconstructieve tandheelkunde. In 2013 won hij de 3M Espertise Talent Awards met het ‘Digitaal Rehabilitatie Concept’ en in 2015 ontving zijn artikel ‘Tooth Wear: A Systematic Review of Treatment Options’ de Glen P. McGivney Scientific Writing Award voor beste systematische review in 2014. Erik-Jan is bestuurslid van de Dutch Academy of Esthetic Dentistry en zit in de Raad van Raadgevers voor de Associatie Nederlandse Tandartsen. |

Dr. Bassam Hassan (NL) Bassam Hassan is een tandarts gespecialiseerd in orale implantologie (NVOI erkend), prothetische (EPA erkend) en restauratieve tandheelkunde (NVVRT erkend). Hij studeerde als tandarts af aan de Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde Amsterdam (ACTA) en hij heeft zijn PhD naar de digitale implantologie planning m.b.v. CBCT aan de vrije universiteit te Amsterdam behaald. Hij beschikt tevens over een master diploma in orale diagnostiek van de katholieke Universiteit Leuven en over een master In Prosthodontics van de Universiteit van Wenen, Oostenrijk. Hij is parttime verbonden als gast hoogleraar prothetiek aan UCM Universiteit te Madrid en Medische Universiteit Wenen. In de afgelopen 15 jaar heeft hij meer dan 50 publicaties in geciteerde internationale tijdschriften geproduceerd en hij heeft meer dan 70 voordrachten in het binnen en buitenland gehouden. In 2017 heeft hij de eerste prijs bij de European Prosthodontic Association voor zijn onderzoek naar de digitale implantaten planning van edentaten patiënten gewonnen. |

Dr. Nick Yiannios (USA) Nick C. Yiannios DDS received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School in 1993. He has been in solo private practice since 1995, and currently resides in Northwest Arkansas, home of the Walmart corporation. Dr. Yiannios is a general practitioner, author, lecturer, and the founder of the Center for Neural Occlusion (CNO), a teaching institution for health professionals designed to proffer the importance of objective and measured diagnostics prior to the initiation of treatment. Dr. Yiannios has published numerous times in the scientific literature, most notably relating to his novel concept of Frictional Dental Hypersensitivity (FDH) a phenomenon relating hypersensitive teeth (tooth allodynia) to occlusal and TMD issues. For years, Dr. Nick has been broadcasting patient case studies and interviews which relate to occlusal and TMD issues on the DrNickDDS channel of YouTube as well as Vumedi, increasing both patient and professional awareness regarding the usage of objective 3-D MRI & CBCT imaging and other objective metrics in the practice of dental medicine. Resultant of this social media presence and his publications, Dr. Yiannios routinely sees patients and trains doctors from all over the globe which travel to see him for his unique skillset. |

Dr. Mike Smith (USA) Third generation dentist in Phoenix Dr. Mike Smith graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and pursued extensive post graduate education in dental rehabilitation in the field of occlusion, full mouth rehabilitation, TMJ disorders, sleep apnea and conscious sedation. His private practice in Phoenix, Arizona is dedicated to aesthetic, contemporary restorative and cosmetic rehabilitation. Dr. Smith instructs other dentists nationally and internationally as a lecturer and mentor for companies involved in advanced dental treatment and diagnosis in TMD, full mouth reconstruction, and implants. He is actively involved in numerous organizations and associations dedicated to the pursuit of providing doctors and patients with extraordinary advanced dental care. Dr. Smith is co-founder and past Director of the Arizona Community Dental Clinic in downtown Phoenix. He is one of the co- founders of Clinical Mastery Education Series and is currently developing the research and advanced studies department. |
