Accommodation
Leiden is conveniently located in the western part of the Netherlands. It is easy to reach Leiden from nearby cities such as Amsterdam, The Hague and Delft (the train stations are in 15-40 minutes reach of Leiden Central) and it is close to coastal villages as Katwijk and Noordwijk (only 20-30 minutes by bus).You can check on google maps how long the journey will take to Leiden by public transport (when you have decided on the route, click on the train symbol) or via the public transport planner. Oegstgeest (10-15 minutes by bus to Leiden Central) also offers a number of hotels e.g. Castle-hotel Oud Poelgeest or Bastion Hotel Leiden.
Leiden has a number of accommodation options ranging from B&Bs to hotels in different price categories. ICAS 11 will take place in the summer, which is tourist high season. It is therefore recommended to book your accommodation in time.
Our official hotel partner organisation is Preferred Hotel Reservations, which has secured rooms for ICAS 11 participants in hotels located in or near Leiden. Please check the hotel website for an overview of the selected conference hotels.

Hello Holland offers day tours, evening-sightseeing tours, and weekend tours before, during, and after the ICAS event. They also have secured a number of hotel rooms in/near Leiden.

Travel Insurance
It is strongly recommended to obtain comprehensive travel insurance which will cover all international medical costs, including medical repatriation/evacuation, repatriation of remains and legal costs.
