CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

 

We invite researchers, healthcare professionals, and advocates to submit abstracts for poster presentations at the EMSP Annual Conference 2026, titled “From Diagnosis to Access: Data-Driven Solutions for MS, NMOSD, and MOGAD”. This year’s conference will explore how advances in Diagnosis, Equitable Access to Care and Data Integration can accelerate progress, improve patient outcomes, and share European policy.

 

 
Topics of interest:
 
We are looking for poster submissions that align with the conference’s focus around 4 mains themes: . A potential list of topics of your posters could include the following areas: 
 
  1. Diagnosis and Early Intervention: 
    • Advances in diagnostic tools, biomarkers, and neuroimmaging; 
    • Implementation and impact of the Revised McDonald 2024 Criteria;
    • Differential diagnosis between MS, NMOSD, and MOGAD
    • Early diagnosis, paediatric MS, and diagnostic pathways and inequalities in Europe
  2. Access to Treatment and Models of Care:
    • Equity of access to disease-modifying therapies and symptomatic treatments
    • National, regional and cross-border access to care
    • Organisation of care: specialised centres, outpatient, and community-based models
    • Integrated, multidisciplinary, and digital models of care
    • Patient journeys, quality of life, and unmet needs.
  3. Data, Registries and Data Driven Evidence:
    • Patient Registries, Real World Evidence, and Epidemiological data
    • Patient reported outcomes (PROs) and quality indicators
    • Data Interoperability, governance, and ethics within the European Health Data Space (EHDS)
    • Use of data to inform policy, clinical trials, reimbursement, and health system planning
  4. Cross-cuttings themes:
    • Inclusive and cross border clinical trials
    • Rare demyelinating diseases (NMOSD, MOGAD)
    • Diversity, equity, and inclusion in Research
    • Patients involvement in Research and Data Governance

  • Abstract length: 250–300 words 
  • Deadline: 6th March 2026
  • Please include the source of funding and potential conflict of interests in all posters.
