HOW TO ACCESS SWISSTECH CONVENTION CENTRE

BY TRAIN

Located in the centre of Europe and with one of the best rail networks in the world, the STCC is easily accessible by train.
Lyon, Paris, Milan are accessible in maximum 3.30 hours

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Convenient, quick and reliable, public transportation is probably the best way to get around in Lausanne and in Switzerland. The metro M1 can bring you to the SwissTech Convention Center from the Renens train station or the city center of Lausanne. It comes every 5 minutes and it will only take you 10 minutes to get here.

BY CAR

The SwissTech Convention Center is 2 minutes away from the highway exit “Lausanne Sud, UNIL-EPFL”. There are 400 public parking spaces 5 minutes away walking from the STCC.

BY PLANE

Lausanne is very close to Geneva airport or to Zurich airport that are connected to 196 destinations worldwide.

Geneva airport is only 45 minutes away from Lausanne using a car or public transportation. There are train departing from Geneva Airport every 15 minutes and the train station is located in the airport.

Zurich airport is 2.5 hours away by car and by train.
There is also a station in the airport and trains to Lausanne leave every 15 minutes.

LAUSANNE TRANSPORT CARD

The hotel will provide you the Lausanne Transport Card. With it, you can use public transport (bus, train, metro) for free during your whole stay (maximum 15 days) in Lausanne and its surroundings.

REGISTRATION AND BADGING

All participants (delegates and guests) are kindly requested to wear their name tags at all times. Badges can be collected from the AIPC registration desk located in foyer Foyer Campus (Grätzel) starting 19.00 on Monday 12 July 2021.

COVID FREE EVENT

The AIPC Annual Conference will be a COVID-FREE event.  

To get access to the Swiss-Tech Convention Centre, all participants need to provide :

  • A negative PCR test dated less than 72 hours
  • or to be fully vaccinated (second injection given at least two weeks prior the conference)
  • or a Covid cure certificate (not more than 6 months)  

Delegates complying with the above will given a colored bracelet granting them access to the venue. Should you fail to provide one of those certificated you will not be able to access the center until you have done a rapid test.

All participants have to make sure to have a QR code on their certificates in order for it to be scanned and validated before entering the building.

You can do a rapid test on the EPFL site : https://www.epfl.ch/campus/security-safety/sante/coronavirus-covid-19/centre-de-test-ecublens-epfl/ (it is on the EPFL Campus – near STCC). It is very important that you take an appointment, the free slots are taken very rapidly, so the sooner the better… When doing the test/ filling in the form you will have to ask for a certificate WITH a QR code, this is very important.
