Submission
- The submission of abstracts is welcome and highly appreciated
- Abstracts should be submitted via the available link on the conference website
- All submitted abstracts that fulfill the submission criteria, will be screened and considered for presentation by reviewers, appointed by the Scientific Committee, which will send a notification regarding acceptance or rejection of abstracts to the submitting author via e-mail
- Accepted abstracts are published in the Multiple Sclerosis Journal after the conference
- There is no cost linked to abstract submission or poster presentation
- Late breaking abstracts will not be accepted
- Posters are centrally displayed close to the plenary room

Guidelines
Please carefully read and respect the instructions in order to ensure a smooth organisation and high quality of your participation to the RIMS Conference.
Preparation
- All presenters should submit their presentation (PowerPoint, format: 16:9 (not 4:3)) at the welcome and hospitality desk on an USB stick. It is not possible to hand over your presentation in the meeting room. Please write your submission ID on the USB stick.
- The name of your PPT file should start with your submission ID, followed by the last name of the presenter and the short title of the abstract. Fe: 12_last name of presenter_short title abstract.pptx .
- Please submit your presentation at your earliest convenience, and at the latest during the lunch or coffee break preceding your presentation.
Your oral presentation
- Please be seated on the first rows from the start of the session in which you present
- The moderator will call the names of the presenter.
- Your presentation will automatically be shown on the screen.
- A clicker will be at your disposal.
- It is obligatory to respect your time limit (either 10 minutes for platform presenters or 2 min for poster express presenters).
Guidelines for poster presentation (poster viewing and poster express)
- It is the author's responsibility to print the poster. Format: one sheet, measurements to be received.
- Posters should be mounted at their assigned spot.
- On Thursday 5 May between 15:30 and 19:30 or on Friday 6 May between 08:30 and 10:45
- Each poster has been assigned a submission ID. You will find this on your welcome envelope.
- Mounting material will be at your disposal.
- Posters should be displayed
- during the entire duration of the Conference
- Please stand by your poster during your assigned presentation time: Have a look into the programme to see who needs to present when.
- Posters can be removed on Saturday 6 May between 14:15 and 16:00. Non-removed posters will not be kept in storage.

Coffee breaks and lunches
Coffee breaks and lunches are included in the registration package and will be served as per the programme schedule.
Hotel Reservation
Hotel arrangements should be made directly with the hotels. As hotel capacity in Genoa is limited, we advise you to book your hotel room at your very earliest convenience. Have a look at the hotel reservation page for more information.
Language
The official language of the Annual Conference is English.
Permission to contact and to store personal data
Individual delegates will be contacted by the Conference Secretariat with regards to their registration to the Annual Conference (registration, programme updates, certificate of attendance, …).
The Conference Secretariat will not contact group delegates with regards to their registration to the Annual Conference.
The Conference Secretariat will only contact group delegates with regards to the procedure to obtain the certificate of attendance (accreditation).
A printed list of participants will be available and can be picked up at the Welcome & Hospitality Desk.
When registering to the Annual Conference of RIMS, participants can agree (opt-in):
- to receive email communications from RIMS to be informed about its future Annual Conferences and other activities.
- that their contact information may be shared with the partners or supporting organisations for the purpose of providing them information regarding MS products or services or sending them by-invitation only special events or SIG’s.
Please note that your personal data will be kept by the Operational and Administrative Secretariat for the upcoming three years, if you choose to give us the permission to send you e-mails about RIMS' Annual Conference and other activities.
The Conference Secretariat (rims@seauton-international.com) can be contacted when delegates wish to delete or modify the registered information (i.e. name + surname + e-mail).
Photos and Videos
Delegates agree that RIMS VZW may use any photos taken in conjunction with the Conference in an unlimited manner for promotional purposes of RIMS VZW and its activities on the RIMS website and in RIMS Publications without any compensation to the delegate. Delegates agree that RIMS may use any video recordings taken in conjunction with the Conference in an unlimited manner for scientific educational purposes of RIMS and its activities on the RIMS website and in RIMS Digital Material without any compensation to the delegate.
