Pål Nesse, Special Adviser and Spokesperson, has been working for NRC, the Norwegian Refugee Council, for almost 30 years. He is familiar with the various challenges and obstacles that refugees face, and he believes education and learning are instrumental in the lives of children, young people and women.
Liv Arnesen is known for her expeditions to the South Pole. She was the first woman to undertake this venture alone. Liv has also undertaken river expeditions with Ann Bancroft and the Girl Scouts of the USA. The steepest mountain, and biggest challenge she faced, was climbing Mount Everest. Keen on education, Liv created a website for children and young people to enable them to follow her travels. She is the co-editor of a recent book, called “Motivation and Mastering”.
