SESAM Sim University is an opportunity for teams of undergraduate healthcare students (preferably teams of four, interprofessional) to compete against each other by taking
part in simulation scenarios. Scenarios mirror basic emergency situations (resuscitation, anaphylaxis, myocardial infarction) reflecting the students’ level of knowledge/skills.
After each scenario, students are debriefed by expert facilitators, with a focus on promoting non-technical skills such as leadership, situational awareness, decision making,
communication, and assertiveness, in addition to clinical reasoning within a team. Remote, online heats are conducted early in the year, with successful teams being invited to the
finals at the Annual Meeting of SESAM, which in 2024 will be held in Prague. See programme here.

Congratulations to all of our SESAM 2023 Sim University competitors!
SimUniversity will take place during the SESAM annual meeting and thus also create an opportunity for students to be exposed to simulation
content from international experts.
