Accessing the right skills and finding the right talent remain stubborn blockages for UK manufacturers and with the UK’s new migration rules, manufacturers will be restricted to UK talent only for many technical and vocational skills.

The number of young people emerging from school post-16 is projected to fall in the future and UK manufacturers will need to broaden their approach to attract and retain workers from a wider talent pool.
